Opie Manufacturing Group has acquired Wilson & Gilkes, a leading Australian provider of security enclosures and fabricated metal components, to strengthen its position in fabrication and contract manufacturing. This acquisition expands Opie's product range and capabilities, including sheet metal fabrication, prototyping, and engineering services across various industries. Wilson & Gilkes will now operate under the Opie Manufacturing Group brand, which includes several brands such as Bosco, enhancing product offerings and manufacturing capacity. The move supports eco-friendly practices, Australian manufacturing, and local skills development. The Wilson & Gilkes headquarters has relocated to Emu Plains, NSW, consolidating operations and increasing workforce from 55 to 100 employees. Bosco Storage Solutions will benefit from the expanded state-of-the-art 8000m2 manufacturing facility, ensuring higher standards of Australian-made excellence.
